1. Controller

HoldOn Egyesulet (registered in Hungary under number 01-02-0018388) is the data controller for the HoldOn project and this website.

2. Personal Data We Collect

We process only the personal data that is necessary to operate the project and maintain supporter relationships:

  • Contact information you provide when you write to us (name, email address, phone number).
  • Donation details necessary for accounting obligations.
  • Basic analytics data collected by our hosting provider (aggregated, non-identifiable metrics).

3. Purpose and Legal Basis

  • Responding to inquiries and coordinating donations based on your consent.
  • Meeting accounting and tax obligations required under Hungarian law.
  • Protecting the legitimate interests of beneficiaries and volunteers, including fraud prevention and safeguarding.

4. Data Retention

Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes above. Accounting records are retained for the statutory period required by Hungarian regulations (currently 8 years).

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared with:

  • Accounting and banking partners strictly for compliance purposes.
  • Service providers that host our digital infrastructure, bound by confidentiality agreements.
  • Authorities when required by law.

6. Your Rights

We implement technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal data against loss, misuse, or unauthorised access. Nevertheless, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure; residual risk remains.

We store data on servers located within the European Union. When service providers operate outside the EU, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
